Thorpe Benefits Launches Wellness Champions Award – Toronto’s Healthiest Business Leaders Nominations now open

TORONTO, October 14, 2014 – Thorpe Benefits is thrilled to announce the opening of the search for business leaders who are passionate about healthy living and exemplify the daily lifestyle habits required for high performance living. Nominations for the inaugural award are now open. A ceremony and awards symposium will celebrate and recognize the winners of the first annual Wellness Champions Award in April 2015.

“Active corporate leaders know first-hand the enormous pay-off that happens when individuals achieve peak performance through healthy lifestyle,” says Roger Thorpe, president of Thorpe Benefits.

Thorpe went on to observe that companies with integrated wellness philosophies benefit from healthier employees. Often, the examples of healthy role models are contagious and positively impact the entire organization. This results in better overall productivity, less absence and happier employees – ultimately a better bottom line!

“Our goal is to recognize and profile those business leaders who prioritize healthy living into their everyday life – hence the moniker ‘Wellness Champions’. We have so much we can learn from these stories.” says Thorpe.

Do you know a Wellness Champion? Do they talk the talk and walk or even run the walk? Maybe they are motivating you and others to take charge of their well-being so that they can meet their personal and professional potential?

If so, tell us their story and nominate your leader for the First Annual Wellness Champions Award by 5:00pm ET Friday, January 16th, 2014. Visit WellnessChampions.ca for full nomination details.
